Nnenna Ilomechina: A Global Strategic Leader in Digital and Organisational Transformation
A brief overview of Nnenna's career journey and achievements
Nnenna Ilomechina has been at the forefront of digital and organisational transformation for over 25 years, working globally in technology, media, telecoms, and human-capital business/B2B services businesses. She started her career at Sapient (now Publicis Sapient), where she led large-scale global implementations involving digital, technology and creative solutions. She then moved to AlixPartners, where she spent 12 years in operational restructuring/cost reduction roles for underperforming corporates and Private equity portfolio companies, as well as Post Merger and Acquisition Integrations for Corporates. With the onset of massive disruption to businesses and industries drought on by mobile, big-data and cloud, Nnenna stepped into Accenture where she led and grew a practice advising C-suite executives on their strategic growth and transformation initiatives, including digital transformation, leveraging Accenture’s deep expertise in digital, tech, and operations. Throughout Nnenna’s career she has built a reputation of strong leadership, dedication, understanding, trust and consistency with clients and teams alike, simplifying the complex, navigating challenging situations, and driving business results.
Most recently, Nnenna was the Chief Executive of a private equity backed business, Crownpeak, where she led the turnaround and revived the culture, vision, strategy and execution results. Prior to Crownpeak, Nnenna was the Global Chief Operating Officer, All International Markets. for Dentsu.
Nnenna has spoken widely about learning lessons from her 25+ years leading businesses through changes driven by technology disruption. She focuses on key strategies to manage disruption, such as:

Awards and Recognition
Nnenna has received several awards and recognition for her professional excellence and leadership. She was a Senior Professional Services Finalist at the 2020 Black British Business Awards, which celebrate the achievements and contributions of black professionals and entrepreneurs in the UK. She was also named as one of the 50 Board Ready Women to Watch in 2019, a list of high-performing female executives who are ready to take on board-level roles in leading organisations. She was also shortlisted for the Women in The City Future Leaders Award 2014, which recognises women who demonstrate leadership potential and aspire to senior positions.
Other Interests
Nnenna is passionate about social mobility, talent development and mentorship, especially for the next generation leaders. She is a member of the Development Advisory Board for Music Masters, a charity that provides music education and opportunities for young people from diverse backgrounds. She is also a Mentor for Solaris Executive Leadership Development Academy, a programme that supports high-potential ethnic minority leaders to accelerate their career progression and impact.
In her spare time, Nnenna enjoys travelling, exploring cultures and cuisines, mountains, reading on topics of philosophy and psychology, assembling her family for holidays together and playing tennis. She also loves the city and lives in central London, and is a UK citizen and US Permanent resident.
